Second-year students in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at Al-Mustaqbal University presented an integrated engineering vision addressing environmental pollution. This was achieved through the design of an illustrative model that reflects the challenges and risks arising from industrial and petroleum waste. The scientific explanation of the project, completed under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Abrar Falah Naji and Zainab Hassan Ali, focused on highlighting the role of the chemical engineer in developing technological solutions to reduce harmful emissions and protect the ecosystem. The model was implemented as a key component of the department’s booth during Sustainability Week. The project also aimed to fulfill the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 13, “Climate Action,” by raising awareness about the importance of adopting green industrial practices that contribute to reducing pollution levels and maintaining climate balance. It further demonstrated the university’s commitment to graduating qualified professionals capable of integrating environmental standards into core engineering and industrial processes.
