A unique awareness campaign titled “Student Leadership: Be a Leader, Not a Follower,” with the aim of developing students’ leadership skills and fostering a spirit of initiative, responsibility, and teamwork within the university environment, as well as reinforcing the concept of positive leadership as the ability to influence and bring about change, rather than merely a position or authority. The campaign included a series of interactive activities and open discussions that focused on the key traits of a successful leader, decision-making skills, time management, and teamwork. It also aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of self-confidence and taking responsibility in their academic and social lives, thereby contributing to the development of a well-rounded personality capable of facing challenges. The campaign organizers emphasized that developing leadership qualities in students is a fundamental pillar in preparing a conscious generation capable of making a positive impact within society and able to shoulder their future responsibilities with competence and capability. This campaign aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education, by supporting the development of students’ personal and leadership skills, as well as Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, by preparing young people with the leadership and innovation skills required by the job market.
