Al-Mustaqbal University Receives Ministerial Committees for Programmatic Accreditation

On the morning of Sunday, 3 May 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed the ministerial committees specialized in programmatic accreditation as part of official visits aimed at reviewing the accreditation procedures of several academic units within the university. The visit included the College of Dentistry, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and the College of Health and Medical Technologies (Department of Anesthesia Technologies). The committees were received by the University President, the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of Scientific Supervision, the Deans of the concerned colleges, as well as the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department and the Accreditation Division Officer. During the meeting, the guests were warmly welcomed and introduced to the university and its achievements at both local and international levels. The university also reaffirmed its commitment to implementing quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, while emphasizing its dedication to providing the academic, administrative, and technical requirements necessary for the continuous development of educational programs and the achievement of intended learning outcomes. Following the reception ceremony, the ministerial committees commenced their fieldwork by visiting the colleges and departments included in the accreditation process. The visits focused on reviewing programmatic accreditation files, auditing documents related to academic and institutional standards, and assessing the readiness of the educational environment, infrastructure, laboratories, and classrooms in accordance with accreditation requirements and the quality standards adopted by higher education institutions

Director of Quality Assurance at Al-Mustaqbal University Chairs National Evaluation Team for English Program Accreditation

Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman, Director of Quality Assurance at Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired a national evaluation team under the Iraqi Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education during its visit to Al-Noor University in Nineveh, supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education. The visit aimed to assess the English Language program at the College of Education for programmatic accreditation through a comprehensive review of academic and administrative performance, including site inspections, document verification, and official meetings with university leadership.

As part of intensive preparations for the upcoming ministerial visit, the Institutional Accreditation Officer, accompanied by the Standard One Officer, continued their field visits. The visits included the Colleges of Law and Administrative Sciences to assess their readiness and compliance with institutional accreditation requirements. The tour emphasized the importance of addressing any shortcomings and rectifying any issues to enhance the colleges' preparedness and achieve the best possible results during the upcoming ministerial visit

Field visits to enhance the quality of documentation and follow up on compliance with institutional accreditation requirements in university colleges

Continuing the institutional accreditation audit tours, the Institutional Accreditation Officer, accompanied by the Standard 1 Officer, visited the Faculties of Arts and Fine Arts today. This visit was part of the ongoing audits required for institutional accreditation. The purpose of the visit was to review the required documentation and verify the evidence related to the approved standards. The visit included an examination of the mechanisms for organizing and storing documents, ensuring the adequacy of the submitted evidence and its compliance with Standard 1 requirements, as well as discussing key observations with representatives from both faculties and proposing recommendations to enhance their readiness and achieve the quality and accreditation standards.

Field Visits to Monitor Compliance with Institutional Accreditation Requirements in Colleges

As part of the university's efforts to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance, and in implementation of institutional accreditation requirements, the Institutional Accreditation Officer, accompanied by the Standard 1 Officer, conducted a series of field visits to the College of Engineering and Medical Sciences and Technologies on Monday, April 27, 2026, to monitor the extent to which the required documentation for accreditation standards had been met. The visits aimed to review the work being done in the colleges, ensure the readiness of supporting evidence and documentation, and verify their compliance with the requirements of the approved standards. They also aimed to provide guidance and feedback that contributes to enhancing performance levels and achieving full compliance with institutional accreditation requirements. During these visits, the relevant authorities emphasized the importance of continuing to document procedures and activities accurately and systematically, reflecting the level of quality and institutional commitment, and contributing to the success of the accreditation process and the achievement of its strategic objectives

Field Visit to Monitor Completion of Institutional Accreditation Standards

As part of the university's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of academic performance and meet institutional accreditation requirements, the Institutional Accreditation Officer, accompanied by the Standard 1 coordinator for the colleges, conducted a field visit today, Sunday, April 26, 2026, to the Colleges of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Agricultural Technologies to monitor progress on the first and second standards. The visit included an extensive meeting with the standards representatives in the colleges, during which the progress achieved was reviewed, key observations and challenges facing the work teams were discussed, and the importance of completing the requirements within the specified timeframes was emphasized. The visit also included a review of the supporting evidence and documents to ensure their adequacy and alignment with accreditation requirements, along with providing guidance to strengthen areas of strength and address areas for improvement. During the meeting, the Institutional Accreditation Officer stressed the need to intensify efforts and work as a unified team to ensure the college's readiness and compliance with institutional accreditation standards, reflecting the university's commitment to its vision of excellence and quality. This visit is part of a series of periodic field visits aimed at supporting colleges and monitoring the progress of work, in order to achieve institutional accreditation in accordance with the approved standards

Internal Audit Committee Visits the College of Administrative Sciences within Programmatic Accreditation Requirements

As part of the activities of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, the Internal Audit Committee, comprising Assistant Lecturer Sama Al-Murab and Ms Beda’a Mohammed Hammadi, conducted a visit to the College of Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, to review Standards 1 and 2 within the framework of programmatic accreditation. The visit involved a comprehensive review of the department’s documentation and approved procedures, alongside an evaluation of their alignment with recognised academic standards. A number of observations were recorded to support ongoing quality enhancement and continuous improvement. The audit session was attended by Dr Muayyad Al-Fadl, Dr Fawzi, Mr Imad, Assistant Lecturer Karrar, and Assistant Lecturer Tarfa, as part of collaborative efforts to reinforce quality assurance practices and fulfil programmatic accreditation requirements.

A Qualitative Step Toward Program Accreditation: High-Level Meeting Enhances the Readiness of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

In a scene reflecting a firm institutional commitment to academic excellence, Professor Dr. Mundhir Fadhil Hassan, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs and Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, chaired a meeting dedicated to assessing the college’s readiness for program accreditation. The meeting was attended by a select group of stakeholders involved in quality assurance and accreditation. The discussions were marked by precision and professionalism, addressing the preparedness of academic programs in line with accredited standards, as well as the alignment of learning outcomes with labor market requirements. The meeting also reviewed supporting evidence and documentation, measurement and evaluation systems, and continuous improvement plans. In addition, key performance indicators were examined, development gaps were identified, and immediate corrective actions were proposed to ensure full readiness within the specified timelines. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Mundhir Fadhil Hassan emphasized that program accreditation is no longer an option, but a strategic imperative that reflects the maturity of academic institutions and their capacity to compete at both regional and international levels. He stressed the importance of unified efforts and the optimal utilization of resources to achieve this goal in accordance with global best practices. This meeting forms part of a series of well-planned initiatives led by the university to institutionalize a culture of quality and to advance the standard of its academic programs, thereby strengthening the confidence of the academic community and reinforcing its position within the higher education landscape.
