From Vision to Reality: A Dialogue Session Focusing on the Role of Private Sector and Universities in the Creation of Sustainable Cities

On the Fourth Day of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a Dialogue & Discussion Session within the Activities of Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Civil Society Organizations and Private Sector, entitled: From Vision to Reality: A Dialogue Session Focusing on the Role of Private Sector and Universities in the Creation of Sustainable Cities Being attended by Academic and Professional Personalities, the Session has been conducted by the Architect Ms. Omaima Kadhim Al-Taie, a Specialist in Sustainable Urban Design, who launched the Discussion with her emphasis that the Integration of Public and Private Sectors, along with Academic and Community Institutions, does form indeed a Fundamental Pillar in the shaping of a more Equitable and Sustainable Urban Environment. It is worth noting that the Session has witnessed an active participation of Prominent Figures, including Dr. Batoul Mowaffaq Kadhim, Head of Al-Farahidi University Council and the Academic Advisor to the First Deputy of Iraqi Representatives Council. The Session has mainly focused on the Presentation of an Advanced Vision related to transforming Private Universities into Key Players in the development of Sustainable Environment through Curricula, Tangible Practices, and Purposeful Urban Planning, as well as their active role in shaping Societal Awareness that would promote a Sustainability Culture. Besides, Dr. Haidar Al-Kfaishi, a Consulting Architect and Founder of “Sustainable Green Smart Cities” Organization, has raised inquiries regarding the vital impact of Civil Society Organizations in the improvement of Urban Life Quality and enhancement of Social Cohesion, despite the Challenges and Constraints that these Organizations do face in Dynamic and Complicated Environments. Additionally, Dr. Zuhair Nassar, an Assistant Professor and Consultant in the Field of Smart Design and BIM Technologies (Building Information Modelling) has delivered a Presentation, in which he has emphasized the importance of Partnerships between Private Sector and Urban Institutions, calling for adopting Modern Technology and Digital Innovation in the implementation of Sustainable Urban Development Projects so as to achieve Long-Term Transformations that would contribute to creating Smart and Environment-Friendly Cities. Finally, we are obliged to note that the Session has come up with a set of Recommendations that urge and encourage different types of Cooperation and Coordination among Universities, Civil Society Organizations, Private Sector, and Government Entities through the application of an Integrated Approach based on Innovation, Awareness, and Joint Planning, being identified as Key Tools for building more Equitable, Greener, and Sustainable Cities in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, as well as SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Head of Babylon Investment Authority Appreciates the Sustainability Initiatives of the Career Development Division

It is remarkable to note that on the third day of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival, Head of Babylon Investment Authority has paid a notable visit to the Festival, expressing great interest in the Scientific Activities and Innovative Ideas submitted by Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Division of Al-Mustaqbal University. During the visit, he has emphasized the vital role carried out by the Division in promoting and implementing Sustainability Concepts through a wide range of activities and initiatives, expressing his full support to the Strategic Partnerships that have been recently launched by the Division with several Private Sector Companies, highlighting their Positive Impact in providing Practical Training and Rehabilitation Opportunities to the University Students, and thus enabling them to integrate smoothly into Labor Market after graduation. As a matter of fact, these efforts do reflect the Division’s ongoing commitment to conducting an essential role in the Development of a Sustainable Educational and Professional Environment, and promoting different types of cooperation between Academic Institutions and the Private Sector, thereby creating promising job opportunities, in addition to fostering fruitful relationships that would definitely enhance Sustainable Development in our Governorate.

On the Second Day of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival

It is worth noting that on the Second Day of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival, the Pavilion of Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Division has witnessed a Notable Turnout in the number of visitors, as being part of the Activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, and with the wide participation of other Departments and Concerned Entities. The Booth has demonstrated a range of Initiatives, which greatly highlight the Division s Role in the Promotion of Sustainable Goals, where visitors have been actively engaged in the Interactive Presentations and other Explanatory Activities delivered by the Division Members. The Visitors hence have expressed their admiration of the Scientific Content of these Activities, emphasizing the important role of Education at the enhancement of Community Awareness concerning Sustainability Issues. Moreover, the Division Booth has received the appreciation of several Faculty Members as well as Official Visitors for its highly Distinguished and Outstanding Display. This Participation after all does reflect the Division Commitment to actively contributing in the University Events and promoting Sustainability Culture through various initiatives that focus on Knowledge and Education.

Career Development Division at Al-Mustaqbal University Launches a Questionnaire regarding Students Readiness for Labor Market Requirements

During Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, and part of its activities, Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Division has played a vital role in supporting Students and guiding them toward a Sustainable Professional Future, being achieved through a series of activities and events aimed at raising Students Awareness of the options available to them after graduation. Among the Key Initiatives, the Division has launched a Questionnaire for University Students, in which three main areas are covered: Internship Opportunities, Entry-Level Jobs, and Scientific Workshops. We should note that the questionnaire does allow Students to choose the area that aligns with their ambitions and needs in order to develop their skills and enhance their readiness for entering the Labor Market. This Activity indeed has received widespread interest, being strongly embodied through the active participation of Students. As a matter of fact, this initiative does reflect the Division Commitment to maintain continuous communication with Students, listening to their opinions and ideas, and working diligently so as to create a Sustainable Academic and Professional Environment within the University. Besides, Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Division is currently preparing a detailed Case Study based on the Questionnaire Results, which include an analysis of Students’ Views and Interests, with the aim of highlighting their trends, and striving to create suitable opportunities that would lead to implementing their Professional and Academic Aspirations.

Career Development Division Launches a "Graduate Pursuit Form" that aims to supporting Career Pathways

In its ongoing efforts to support Students of Al-Mustaqbal University and guide them toward Successful Career Paths, Recruitment, Employment, and Follow-Up Division proceeds to implementing a series of activities as part of "Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week." One of the most notable initiatives is the launch of a Graduate Pursuit Form that serves as a Strategic Tool aimed at enhancing continuous communication with Graduates and providing them with Professional Support. The Form however includes Several Key Areas, which enable the Division to gather accurate information about Graduates, such as their Current Employment Status, Career Aspirations, and the Challenges they might face while dealing with the Labor Market. We are obliged to note that this remarkable step has aimed to identifying Graduates Needs, in addition to working on creating Job Opportunities that match their Academic Specialties and Acquired Skills. This initiative after all has gained widespread attention from both Students and Graduates, due to representing an Effective Means that would help them integrate into Labor Market and open up new horizons for employment that align with their ambitions and professional directions. Finally, it s worth noting that Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Division, and through this initiative, does affirm its full commitment to the Principle of Sustainability in Education and Employment, seeking to build up a Long-Term Relationship with Students, which starts from the Classroom and does not end with Graduation, but keeps on providing support and assistance through the whole Professional Journey.

Career Development Division Transforms Partnerships into Real Job Opportunities through QR Codes and Professional Collaboration with Private Sector

It is considerable to note that Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Division at Al-Mustaqbal University keeps on playing a pivotal role in supporting Students and enabling them to enter Labor Market by creating Job Opportunities that would match the various Academic Specializations. These efforts are deemed as part of a series of Strategic Partnerships that the Division has established with a selected group of Private Sector Companies across various fields, which include Medicine, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Employment Services, and other vital sectors. Through this Initiative, the Division has aimed to strengthening Direct Communication between Students and Labor Market by providing a Unique QR Code for each Participating Company, allowing Students to access data and information related to available Services, Activities, as well as Job Opportunities. Thus, Students Professional Horizons shall be broadened, and meanwhile, gaining a closer understanding to Labor Market Demands. Besides, and part of this initiative, the Division has organized a Job Exhibition in collaboration with Partner Companies, during which a number of the University Students coming from different Programs have been employed. There is no doubt that this Practical Step shall lead to transforming Partnerships into Real Employment Opportunities. Accordingly, the Activity in question has received wide interest and participation from Students, due to creating tangible opportunities that would help Students and Graduates start their Careers in their Favorite Fields. Furthermore, it is considered a positive step toward equipping them with the Experiences and Skills needed while facing Labor Market Challenges. Finally, we should note that through this Initiative, Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Division has been emphasizing its ongoing commitment to supporting Students Progress and developing their Abilities, in addition to effectively contributing in the establishment of a Sustainable Educational and Professional Environment that would keep pace with Modern Developments as well as meeting the needs of both Local and International Markets.

Career Development Division Shows Up its Active Presence at Third International Festival of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week

Part of its efforts to empower Students as well as Graduates and qualify them to enter Labor Market, Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Division at Al-Mustaqbal University has had an active participation in the "Third International Festival of Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week", where an Integrated Package of Qualitative Activities and Initiatives has been conducted. It is remarkable to note that a Collection of Posters representing Local as well as International Private Sector Companies has been displayed within the Festival, being an essential step towards establishing Strategic Partnerships with these Companies. The Posters have included Introductory Summaries about each Company, accompanied with QR Codes that would allow Students to obtain detailed information about available Training & Employment Opportunities. Besides, the Division has also exhibited Introductory Posters, which outline its Mission, Vision, and Objectives, in addition to the Services it provides to Students after Graduation, along with Organizational Procedures that aim to systematically preparing Students so as to meet Labor Market Requirements, along with an Interactive Questionnaire that has been specifically designed and launched for Students in order to gauge their opinions and perceptions about their Professional Future, in which focus has been on three main issues: Training, Employment, and Scientific Workshops. The Division has emphasized the importance of continuous follow-up as well, providing a Specific Form that can be used to monitor Student and Graduate Data and tracking their Professional Career Development. Moreover, Awareness Brochures and Case Studies have been distributed, highlighting the impact of the Division Activities, along with an Inspiring Presentation submitted by the Student Muhsin, narrating his Success Story as he has managed to establish his own office after graduation due to the qualifications he has obtained during his career at the University. Finally, we are obliged to confirm the fact that Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Division has been quite committed to its vital role in supporting Students and providing them with a stimulating environment for Professional Success, being part of the University Vision to build a Sustainable and Innovative Future.

Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes Distinguished Events during the period 16th - 24th April 2025

We would like to note that Al-Mustaqbal Third International Festival Week for Sustainability coincides with the University s Fifteenth Anniversary as well as the Second Anniversary of transferring Al-Mustaqbal College into University. On these occasions Al-Mustaqbal University is planning to organize Distinguished Events during the period 16th – 24th April 2025, including First International Conference on Continuing Education Activities, and Al-Mustaqbal Media Dialogue Forum, in addition to Civil Society Organizations & Private Sector Forum, all along with Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Science & Health Technologies, keeping in mind Sustainable Development Conference on Poverty. It is remarkable to note that the Events shall also include Dialogue Sessions, which mainly focus on the Role of Private Sector in the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. Besides, National & International Partnerships shall be widely reviewed due to their notable impact in the Field of Sustainability. We are obliged to note as well that Numerous Activities and Exhibitions shall be organized, which include Case Study Exhibitions, Volunteer Campaigns, Art Fairs, and Innovation Competitions. Graduation Projects will also be included, along with the distribution of Sustainability Awards, whereas Outstanding Students shall be honored on this occasion. Finally, we would like to invite Our Dear Professors and Students to attend and participate in this Pioneering Event, which integrates ideas with innovation, and meanwhile emphasizing the Role of Law in supporting Sustainability Issues, with the aim of building a better future.
