The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in an online meeting held on Friday, November 6, 2026, chaired by the University President and attended by the Assistant Presidents, Deans, Assistant Deans, and Heads of Academic Departments. The meeting addressed a range of directives and measures aimed at organizing the educational process and enhancing academic and administrative performance. The meeting emphasized the involvement of all academic staff holding postgraduate degrees in teaching, the regulation of teaching workloads, and the redistribution of class schedules in line with current requirements. It also highlighted the importance of cooperation in implementing blended learning, combining online and face-to-face instruction. Furthermore, the meeting stressed the need to complete and verify the required information concerning holders of postgraduate degrees, adopt electronic platforms, and update schedules and data on these platforms, including the Human Resources Platform. Discussions also addressed the launch of an Excellence Initiative targeting colleges, academic staff, and students, based on the approved data and performance indicators. Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved outstanding results in the 2027 Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Rankings, ranking 103rd in the Arab world, third among all Iraqi universities, and first among Iraqi private universities. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in a meeting held on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, in the University Presidency Hall. The meeting was attended by the University President, the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and their respective staff, as well as college deans and their scientific and administrative assistants. The meeting addressed newly introduced ministerial requirements and the mechanisms for their implementation. It also reviewed the key achievements and activities accomplished by the university’s various academic and administrative units during the previous period, including scientific and training workshops, as well as efforts to improve institutional performance and enhance the quality of academic and administrative work. The participation of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit reflects its role in following up on institutional assessment requirements, documenting activities and achievements, contributing to the preparation of relevant data and reports, and monitoring the implementation of ministerial requirements. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University participated on Monday, November 2, 2026, in a training and educational workshop organized by the University Presidency at the Central Hall of the Presidency Building. The workshop focused on introducing the Electronic Requests Program and explaining how to use it. The workshop was attended by a number of Assistant Deans for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, their representatives, as well as staff members from colleges and administrative departments. It included a detailed explanation of the program’s functions and mechanisms, which aim to bring various requests and administrative procedures together on a single electronic platform, thereby facilitating the processing of transactions, improving administrative organization, and supporting the University’s digital transformation. The workshop also witnessed active participation and interaction from attendees, who discussed the program’s operating mechanisms, raised questions and comments, and exchanged views on identifying and addressing potential system gaps to improve its functionality and ensure more efficient and seamless procedures. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping pace with modern electronic systems, enhancing institutional work efficiency, and utilizing digital solutions to streamline procedures and improve performance, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of advancing digital transformation and improving the quality of its administrative and academic services.
As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing academic quality and community engagement, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit monitored the activities of the College of Dentistry, including a health awareness initiative organized at Quraish Primary School for Girls on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. The activity was conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and followed up by Mr. Mohammed Ammar, the College’s Measurement and Evaluation Officer, with the participation of a number of college students and academic staff. The activity included providing health guidance and awareness to schoolgirls on the importance of oral and dental hygiene, introducing common oral and dental diseases and methods of prevention, and emphasizing the importance of regular toothbrushing, maintaining healthy habits, and visiting healthcare centers and dentists when necessary. The initiative also included awareness services and the distribution of gifts to the pupils, helping establish healthy practices and promote preventive health awareness from an early age. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit’s follow-up of this activity reflects its ongoing efforts to monitor and document college activities and assess initiatives with educational and community impact. These efforts support continuous evaluation, help measure the extent to which intended objectives are achieved, and assess the impact of university initiatives on the community. They also contribute to strengthening a culture of quality and continuous improvement and providing the data needed to evaluate institutional performance in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements. This follow-up highlights the role of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in supporting the College of Dentistry’s efforts to improve its performance and enhance the documentation of its activities and outcomes, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening quality standards and advancing academic performance and community engagement.
Al-Mustaqbal University held a workshop to evaluate the implementation of the Bologna Process, with the participation of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, the Academic Supervisor, the Director of Student Affairs, the Director of Quality Assurance, college deans and their assistants, department heads, department rapporteurs, quality assurance officers in colleges and departments adopting the Bologna Process, as well as representatives of Information Technology and other relevant staff. The workshop included an evaluation conducted by Turkish international evaluator Dr. Burak, appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to review relevant files and documentation, assess the implementation of the Bologna Process requirements, and verify compliance with the approved standards. In this context, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit plays an important role in supporting educational quality by monitoring academic performance indicators, utilizing evaluation results to identify strengths and areas for improvement, and assessing the achievement of learning outcomes. These efforts contribute to developing evaluation methods and enhancing the quality of academic performance. This workshop is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to improve educational practices, strengthen the implementation of quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, and promote a culture of evaluation and continuous improvement, thereby enhancing the quality of higher education and its outcomes.
Al-Mustaqbal University continued its active participation on the second and final day of the Third Iraqi Education Conference, hosted by the University of Baghdad on October 29, 2026, under the theme “From Education to Development: Global Partnerships and Universities Shaping the Future.” The conference brought together academic leaders, government officials, and representatives of local and international educational institutions. The university delegation was headed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Mohsen Al-Furaiji, University Advisor; Professor Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering; and several academic and administrative staff members. The conference featured discussions focusing on strengthening university autonomy, developing teaching and research environments, and promoting the concept of the productive university. Discussions also addressed aligning educational outcomes with labor market requirements and Iraq’s development priorities, as well as reviewing academic specializations to meet societal needs and future developments. As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to enhance educational quality and improve academic assessment practices, the Anesthesia Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies has developed a Guide to Assess Scientific Skills in Academic Courses under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, with the follow-up of the College Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qayyim, and the College’s Measurement and Evaluation Officer, Assistant Lecturer Basma Abdul-Khaliq Aidan, in coordination with the University’s Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The guide aims to establish clear procedures for assessing students’ performance and measuring the achievement of intended learning outcomes. It promotes the use of objective and consistent assessment methods that ensure fairness in evaluating students’ performance while strengthening the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical and applied skills in health and medical disciplines. The guide covers various aspects of scientific skills assessment in academic courses, including theoretical, practical, and applied examinations, as well as the assessment of field training and research projects. It also outlines approved assessment formats, such as essay questions, multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and answer sheets using the bubble-sheet format, in accordance with the nature and requirements of each course. The University’s Measurement and Evaluation Unit plays an important role in supporting the development of assessment guides, standardizing assessment procedures, and monitoring compliance with approved academic standards.
