The College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University launched the Technical Future Camp under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 3–4, 2026, at Al-Mustaqbal University. This camp reflects the College’s commitment to discovering students’ potential, developing their skills, and showcasing their technical, artistic, athletic, and creative talents. It aims to attract talented students and provide them with opportunities to participate in the camp’s diverse events and activities. The College invites all students from its scientific departments who wish to participate, particularly those with technical skills and artistic, athletic, or creative talents, to complete the electronic registration form accurately to ensure their information is recorded and they can participate in the camp’s activities. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by supporting student creativity and developing technical and innovative skills. Al-Mustaqbal University is preparing to host the Fifth Sustainable Cities Forum 2026 under the slogan “Urban Renewal: Adequate Housing for All,” on the occasion of World Cities Day. The forum is organized in cooperation between the College of Engineering Techniques and the Iraqi Academics Syndicate / Babil Branch. It will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Presidency Hall at Al-Mustaqbal University. The forum aims to discuss key visions, solutions, and challenges related to sustainable cities, promote urban planning concepts, and address the importance of providing adequate housing for all, with the participation of distinguished experts, specialists, and academics. Prof. Dr. Talal Yusaf is an internationally distinguished academic and researcher with over 30 years of experience in higher education, scientific research, academic leadership, and international partnerships. He has made significant contributions to the fields of sustainable energy and clean technologies. His outstanding academic and research achievements include two PhD degrees in Renewable Energy and Biotechnology, the publication of more than 165 scientific papers in academic journals, authorship and co-authorship of 10 scientific books, and supervision of more than 50 PhD and postgraduate students. His research interests cover several key areas, including renewable energy and sustainable energy technologies, alternative fuels such as biofuels and hydrogen, environmental pollution and sustainability, and engineering technologies for water treatment. His participation in the conference will provide a valuable opportunity for exchanging scientific expertise and research perspectives, discussing the latest developments and innovations in the energy sector, exploring the future of clean energy sources, and strengthening academic and research collaboration to develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
