Reaffirming its established policy of elevating field training standards, students from the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University continue their practical applications within the summer internship program at "Wadi Al-Qarn for Engineering Solutions." Under the direct supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal University Center for Energy Research (MUCE), the program simulates real-world engineering environments and achieves integrated case studies for designing advanced alternative energy systems. This practical step aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University's vision and its strong commitment to ensuring that summer training is not merely a superficial overview, but rather a deep engineering experience that enables students to master the actual design and software tools demanded by major international and local companies in the energy and modern mechanical systems sectors. The university's policy through these intensive and scientifically structured programs aims to bridge the traditional gap between theoretical academic knowledge and actual job market requirements. Advanced Software Applications: Engineering Students Complete Comprehensive Solar System Simulation Using Global PVsyst Software

Students from the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University continued their intensive summer internship program at the headquarters of "Wadi Al-Qarn for Engineering Solutions." Under the direct scientific and technical supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal University Center for Energy Research (MUCE), the training advanced in its second day to the stage of advanced engineering and software application, building upon the foundational workshops completed on day one. The second day’s agenda featured a highly specialized technical focus, where students conducted a comprehensive, practical case study to design a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system from the ground up to production. This was achieved using the renowned PVsyst software, which is recognized globally as one of the most powerful tools utilized by engineers for the simulation and design of alternative energy systems. The software training included preparing a detailed and comprehensive engineering report for the project. This report covered calculating the Total Energy Yield, analyzing the Loss Diagram, and studying the system's efficiency and performance across all months of the year based on climate data and solar radiation rates in the region, as well as determining the optimal tilt angles to ensure the highest possible operational productivity. At the conclusion of the second day, supervisors from MUCE and engineers from Wadi Al-Qarn praised the speed and high efficiency demonstrated by the engineering students in mastering the PVsyst tools and applying engineering equations accurately, confirming that these outcomes promise the birth of a new generation of engineers capable of leading renewable energy projects with confidence and competence.

This initiative aims to provide technical and technological support to citizens, business owners, and institutions, enabling them to select optimal solar energy systems that meet their specific needs while ensuring maximum efficiency and economic feasibility. Our Free Engineering Consultation Services Include: Electrical Load Calculation and Analysis: Conducting specialized technical studies of current consumption rates and providing practical solutions to optimize energy usage and reduce operational costs. System Sizing and Engineering Design: Determining the exact capacity and dimensions of solar systems required for various sectors, including: Residential Sector (Homes and Villas). Corporate and Government Institutions. Commercial Buildings and Facilities. Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, the Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center organized an online workshop entitled “Water and Sustainable Development”, supervised by the Director of the Center, Dr. Salwan Ubaid Waheed. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of water resources and their vital role in achieving sustainable development, as well as to discuss current challenges facing the water sector, particularly in Iraq, and ways to address them through efficient water use and conservation practices. Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center held an online workshop entitled: “Integration of Solar Energy Systems with Smart Homes and Buildings Using the Global KNX System.” The workshop was presented by Eng. Ahmed Al-Hariri, Managing Director of Elite Engineering Company for Smart Home Systems, Solar Energy Systems, and Software Solutions. The workshop introduced solar energy systems and smart building technologies, as well as the mechanism of integrating these systems using the global KNX system. It also highlighted the key features and types of smart systems, the differences between smart systems and smart products, and discussed opportunities for professional development in this field. In addition, the workshop reviewed the available training courses in Iraq that keep pace with the evolving demands of the labor market. The workshop witnessed the participation of a number of students and individuals interested in renewable energy and smart systems. Several questions and scientific discussions were raised during the session, which enriched the topic and enhanced participants’ knowledge.
