The second day’s agenda featured a highly specialized technical focus, where students conducted a comprehensive, practical case study to design a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system from the ground up to production. This was achieved using the renowned PVsyst software, which is recognized globally as one of the most powerful tools utilized by engineers for the simulation and design of alternative energy systems. The software training included preparing a detailed and comprehensive engineering report for the project. This report covered calculating the Total Energy Yield, analyzing the Loss Diagram, and studying the system's efficiency and performance across all months of the year based on climate data and solar radiation rates in the region, as well as determining the optimal tilt angles to ensure the highest possible operational productivity. Al-Mustaqbal University was represented at the signing by the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, while Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies was represented by its Director General, Mr. Ali Nasir Banyan. The advanced ministerial Training of Trainers ( ToT ) course titled "Project Plan Development" has successfully concluded at the University of Babylon. The 30-hour intensive course was organized by the Department of Science and Technology, in alignment with the PM’s "Riyada" initiative and in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. At the conclusion of the program, the Director of the Al-Mustaqbal University Energy Research Center, Professor Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed, was awarded an official certificate of participation issued by the Riyada Initiative, recognizing his successful completion of the training requirements.
