Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center Launches Expanded Climate Datasets: Meteorological Records Reaching Open New Horizons to Support Global Scientific Research

Al-Mustaqbal University’s Energy Research Center has officially expanded its environmental repositories, opening an advanced, comprehensive suite of meteorological data extracted from its digital monitoring network to independent researchers, academic institutions, and climate scientists worldwide. This initiative provides the global scientific community with a highly accurate foundation for tracking and documenting contemporary ecological shifts. The updated data samples highlight intense seasonal transitions; forecasting models and hourly breakdowns project a severe heatwave with maximum temperatures peaking at an extreme 49°C, accompanied by nighttime lows of 31°C under completely clear skies with a 0% precipitation rate. Concurrently, wind dynamics are meticulously charted, showing surface wind speeds ranging between 10 to 25 km/h alongside high-resolution logging of sudden wind gusts (Gust). In parallel, the center’s long-term cumulative charts reflect key historical transition baselines, recording an overall temperature average of 26.5°C, a dew point of 9.5°C, a heat index of 25.9°C, and a mean relative humidity of 38.9%.The ultimate importance of providing open access to these high-resolution climate datasets lies in their pivotal role as an primary catalyst for advanced scientific research across several strategic domains. For environmental scientists, these real-world metrics offer invaluable grounding for regional climate modeling, studying global warming trajectories, and mitigating the "Urban Heat Island" effect in expanding metropolitan areas. Furthermore, this data serves as a crucial asset for sustainable energy engineering; it allows researchers to evaluate and optimize the operational efficiency and thermal degradation of solar PV panels and alternative power grids operating under extreme arid heat and dropping humidity thresholds. By fostering this knowledge-sharing ecosystem, Al-Mustaqbal University reinforces its pioneering contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), empowering global academics and students to spearhead innovative, practical solutions that safeguard public health and build ecological resilience against rapid climate change.

Al-Mustaqbal University’s Energy Research Center Announces Air Quality and Climate Monitoring Results, Emphasizing Its Strategic Role in Sustainability

Al-Mustaqbal University's Energy Research Center has released a comprehensive report showcasing the latest findings from its advanced environmental monitoring systems for August 26. Recorded at 11:06 AM, the data indicated that the overall US Air Quality Index stabilized at 92 AQI+, positioning the area's air quality within the "Moderate" and safe range for the general public. According to the center’s analytical readings, this environmental baseline coincided with hot summer conditions, with temperatures peaking at 44.5°C, driven by a notable drop in relative humidity to 20.0% and a barometric pressure of 997.9 mbar. Furthermore, the system’s hourly breakdown tracked the movement of particulate matter and pollutants throughout the day, revealing a natural fluctuation that peaked in the afternoon—specifically between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM—before steadily declining back to stable, safe levels during the evening and early morning hours. The continuous data stream provided by Al-Mustaqbal University’s monitoring platforms within the Energy Research Center serves a pivotal role as an integrated research and educational tool. These readings provide a precise, up-to-date database that supports academic studies on air pollution and climate change, while directly linking environmental shifts to the efficiency of renewable energy systems. Additionally, this data empowers both the academic community and local residents to anticipate health risks associated with peak pollutant fluctuations. It ultimately reinforces the center’s position as a trusted scientific reference capable of guiding sound environmental policy and delivering sustainable solutions that support public health and ecological preservation across the region.
