A Series of Educational Workshops at the College of Engineering Technologies on Examination Instructions and Correction Mechanisms

The College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Measurement and Evaluation Committees in its scientific departments, organized a series of educational and organizational workshops on examination instructions and exam-handling mechanisms. These workshops were held as part of the college’s efforts to enhance students’ academic awareness and ensure the proper implementation of examination procedures in accordance with approved regulations and guidelines. The Departments of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies, Electrical Engineering Technologies, and Medical Devices Engineering Technologies hosted several workshops focusing on examination instructions and the proper use of the Bubble Sheet system. The workshops also explained the correct answering methods and highlighted common mistakes that may affect the accuracy of electronic correction and examination results. In addition, the workshops emphasized the importance of adhering to examination regulations and their role in promoting academic discipline. Practical guidance was also provided to help students deal effectively with examinations and contribute to creating an organized examination environment that supports achieving the best academic outcomes. The workshops were delivered by faculty members and members of the Measurement and Evaluation Committees, and witnessed active interaction from students through questions and discussions related to examination mechanisms and approved instructions. These initiatives are part of a series of academic activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to develop students’ skills and enhance the quality of the educational process, in line with the university’s vision of supporting higher education and achieving quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.

The Second Workshop: Digital Transformation in Electronic Grading Using Remark Software

As part of the training program on electronic grading, and within the activities of the second workshop held on May 4, organized by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, the session addressed the design of the Bubble Sheet and its application, in addition to a detailed explanation of how to operate the scanner and use it in the grading process. The workshop lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Riam Thaer Ahmed, Rapporteur of the Forensic Evidence Department. The workshop included a practical application by the participants, involving a complete experimental implementation of the electronic grading process, along with a discussion of common errors and responses to participants’ questions. The workshop targeted academic and administrative staff involved in the examination process and aimed to enhance their skills in using modern technologies for electronic grading, thereby improving accuracy and efficiency, reducing time and effort, and aligning with the digital transformation trends in educational institutions.

Workshop One: Digital Transformation in Electronic Grading Using Remark Software

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, conducted a training course consisting of two workshops on May 3–4, held in the computer laboratories of the Medical Building at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the attendance of one representative from each college. These activities were part of the first workshop of the training course, which was dedicated to presenting the practical aspects related to the examination process. The sessions were delivered by Assistant Lecturer Sarmad Saleh Jawad, programmer Yaseen Abdul Hussein, and Assistant Lecturer Riam Thaer Ahmed. The first workshop addressed the Bubble Sheet, including how to design its template, as well as explaining the use of the electronic correction device (scanner). The workshop witnessed notable engagement from the participants due to its importance in supporting the work of examination committees and preparing teaching staff to manage exams efficiently and in an organized manner, thereby reducing potential errors. This course comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to providing an appropriate examination environment and enhancing opportunities for knowledge exchange and professional development among the teaching staff in line with the requirements of modern education.

The second lecture of the program “Legal Regulations for Managing the Examination Process”

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a training program on April 28 consisting of three lectures, as part of its efforts to develop the examination process and enhance academic performance. The second lecture featured the participation of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Law, Dr. Fatima Abdul Rahim, who delivered an important presentation addressing key aspects of the examination process, particularly methods of paper-based and electronic grading, while highlighting potential errors and ways to avoid them. The lecture also witnessed significant engagement from attendees, who shared their professional experiences and discussed practical cases they had encountered, contributing to enriching the discussion and enhancing the overall benefit. This program reflects the university’s commitment to providing a well-structured examination environment based on sound scientific principles, ensuring fairness and quality in student assessment.

The third lecture of the program “Legal Regulations for Managing the Examination Process”

The third lecture was delivered by Dr. Thamer Ramadan Al-Dulaimi, who addressed the role of students in the examination process, highlighting their key rights and responsibilities during exams and the obligations that contribute to the success of the examination process. The lecture was distinguished by its valuable content and strong engagement, with a large number of students actively participating and raising several questions that reflected their interest in understanding the examination process in depth. This program underscores the importance of the training courses organized by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in strengthening examination concepts and fostering a cooperative educational environment between students and academic staff, in line with the university’s commitment to supporting its students’ future.

Educational Workshop on Managing and Organizing University Examinations at Al-Mustaqbal University

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a training workshop on Wednesday, April 29, focusing on the organization and management of the examination process in accordance with modern scientific standards. The workshop opened with a speech delivered by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, who, drawing on his extensive experience in examinations and their administration, presented a range of valuable insights and information that enriched the participants’ knowledge and enhanced their understanding of proper examination procedures. The second part of the workshop featured a lecture by the Head of the Accounting Department at the College of Administrative Sciences, Dr. Izz al-Din Hassan Kadhim, who reviewed his practical experience in examination committees and their organization. He also highlighted the technical aspects related to exam papers, particularly the bubble sheet system and the requirements for its proper implementation. The workshop was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and staff, and it concluded with several recommendations aimed at improving the organization of the examination process in a way that ensures fairness for students and enhances the performance of the teaching staff in line with approved academic standards.

Legal Regulations for Managing the Examination Process at Al-Mustaqbal University

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a specialized legal workshop on 28/4, attended by a large number of staff members from various departments. This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance legal awareness and regulate the examination process in accordance with the highest approved standards. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law, who presented a range of important topics related to examinations and the legal regulations governing them. He highlighted the key instructions that must be followed in examination halls, and discussed the roles and responsibilities of hall supervisors and invigilators, in addition to clarifying the rights and duties of students, as well as the cases that require legal action, ensuring fairness and discipline throughout the examination process. The workshop witnessed notable interaction from the attendees, with many questions and inquiries being raised and thoroughly addressed, contributing to a clearer and more accurate understanding of examination procedures and regulations. This workshop is part of a series of training programs that Al-Mustaqbal University is keen to organize, reaffirming its commitment to implementing ministerial regulations and providing a well-organized and suitable examination environment that supports students and ensures a smooth and transparent examination process.

The College of Fine Arts Organizes a Workshop on Blended Exams and Bubble Sheet System

The College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University held an awareness workshop, sponsored by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and supervised by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi Kazar, titled “Mechanisms for Implementing Blended Examinations and Using the Bubble Sheet System in University Assessment” on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The workshop, prepared by Professor Dr. Saad Al-Alam, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, and Assistant Lecturer Suhaila Kadhim Jassim, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the College of Fine Arts, covered the concept and importance of blended examinations, as well as an introduction to the Bubble Sheet system and how to use it. It also explained the correct way to fill out the form and highlighted common mistakes to avoid. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ skills in using modern assessment methods, contributing to improving education quality, fairness, and transparency, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The workshop emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies in university assessment due to their effective role in improving learning outcomes and developing students’ skills.
